Tristin Beckman, PhD

Tristin has spent over a decade using data to answer difficult real world questions in both academia and industry. He has an MA in Economics, a PhD in Political Science with an emphasis in quantitative methods from UC Santa Barbara and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Oxford. He then moved into industry as a data scientist at Eventbrite, building machine learning models and executive-facing dashboards that helped the company navigate its IPO and the COVID crisis. Before Daggy, he was an applied scientist at Pendulum Intelligence, building and deploying several transformer-based models that scored millions of pieces of content daily.
